 JJ SCHOEMAN Biography Minimize

JJ Schoeman is one of South Africa’s top Fashion Designers since 1990.

J.J. Schoeman began studying fashion in 1985 and worked from home through the 90’s, designing glamorous eveningwear for famous personalities and celebrities.

He launched his own label, JJ Creazioni Originali, in 1995. By 2003, JJ had opened both a studio and a boutique in Rosebank. Today the label is JJ Schoeman, specializing in womenswear for clients who include beauty queens, celebrities and sophisticated businesswomen.

Known and respected for his ability to create feminine and glamorous gowns with Euro-centric fashion styling, JJ showed his collection twice in New York at the International Couture Fashion week at West Side Loft in addition to a special viewing at the historical Waldorf Hotel 5th Avenue.

For the past six years he has designed, amongst others, for Miss South Africa and Miss SA Teen, representing South Africa. JJ has designed for Miss World and Miss Universe since 2005.

Yet JJ’s clientele are not only the rich and famous. His personal attention, craftsmanship, professionalism and above all, his care have made him popular with all members of the public. Brides, their retinue as well as teenagers dreaming of the perfect dress for their matric farewell, are all given special attention to transform their fantasy gown into reality.
